Nordica Pre-order by Variegata Nordica · Updated 27 October 2026
Who we are
Nordica Pre-order is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). Questions about this policy or your data: mallory.berthome@gmail.com.
What the app stores
- Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin and set up your pre-orders.
- Your campaigns: their name, ship date, payment terms, labels, and the products, variants or collections they apply to (ids and titles).
- Pre-order orders: the order’s id and number, its total, the balance still due and when it is due. No names, emails, addresses or card details.
- The variants the app switched to “continue selling when out of stock”, so they can be switched back.
- Your settings and your plan (Free or Pro).
- Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
- Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.
What the app changes in your store
It creates one pre-order purchase option per campaign and attaches it to the products you chose. It switches those variants to “continue selling when out of stock” (and back), adds the tags you chose to products and pre-order orders, and saves its settings where your theme reads them. With “Charge balances automatically” on, it asks Shopify to charge the card the shopper saved at checkout when a deposit’s balance is due. It never changes prices or theme files.
Your customers
The app reads pre-order orders only to tag them and to know what is still due. It doesn’t store customer names, emails, addresses or payment details: cards are saved and charged by Shopify. The product page button makes no network calls to us.
Who processes the data
Cloudflare hosts the app and its database. Shopify provides the store data, runs checkout and payments, and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
How long it is kept
When you uninstall the app, your sign-in data is deleted at once, and Shopify removes the app’s purchase options 48 hours later. Campaigns and pre-order rows are kept until Shopify asks for them to be erased, 48 hours after uninstalling, so a quick reinstall gets them back. Paid pre-order rows are deleted after 400 days.
